The Symphonic-Odyssey concert on this trip to the Philharmonie de Paris will be a homage to Japanese composer Nobuo Uematsu, and will feature music from some of his most iconic video game scores. They will include, “Final Fantasy”, “Blue Dragon”, “Lost Odyssey” and “The Last Story”. The London Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by Eckehard Stier.
Nobuo Uematsu is considered to be one of the most famous and respected composers in the video game community, and has been referred to as “the Beethoven of video games music”. He appeared five times in the top 20 of the annual Classic FM Hall of Fame. He has also been called “the John Williams of the video game world” and been credited for “increasing the appreciation and awareness ” of video game music.
