Another exciting concert in January of Essential Debussy. François-Xavier Roth marks the centenary of Debussy’s death with the masterworks that established the composer as the father of Impressionism.
The music of Claude Debussy is unmistakable for its beauty, testament to the suggestive power of music. Debussy at his best has the power to evoke both the foreign and the familiar – breathtaking natural landscapes, mystical scenes, the nostalgia of childhood.
The London Symphony Chorus joins the orchestra for a performance of the Nocturnes as part of a concert which includes the magical Prélude, the Fantaisie, the Nocturnes, and Jeux.
